Bellaisms

Gabriela Christine M...   What a 7 (almost 8) year old going on 29. bahaha.  This girl has the FUNNIEST quotes.. about EVERYTHING... i decided i should highlight some of the things she has taught me this summer... and the list will never end until i leave because she says about 5 EXTREMELY funnythings every day.  SO, I write letters. to boy also known as missionaries haha... she is always like oooooooooooh and makes the kissy face whenever i get a letter.  So she asked when i was going to hang out with these boys again and i told her when i go home. She made me a list of how to look cute.  I would like to type the list now for you because it is just TOOO funny. ooh ps she made me write down every thing she said and checked to make sure i got it correctly:How To Look Cute.
1.Go through closet and find a totally cute WHITE shirt (because it's my color apparently)
2. Wear a pretty sweater with zipper zipped 1/2 way.
3. Wear nice fitting boot leg or skinny jean, dark.
4. Ask someone (Bella) to do makeup. But don't wear too much.
5. Self-confidence. It gives you a very special glow.
6. If not confident, find your own creative style, don't fake it.
7. Be YOURSELF!
8. Do cute hairstyle.
9. Don't be obsessed.
10. Are you sure about them?
11. Walk proud, not like model.
TIPS:
(as she said these she was checking me to make sure I passed)
-Brush teeth and use mouthwash.
-Make hair look brushed.
-Smell really good. Don't spray too much.
-Smile when he's around.
-if no cute clothes make do.

HAHAHA thank you Bell. Now I know how to look cute in a 8 year olds standards :) what would i do without her?
Then if beauty school wasn't enough i was sent straight to Fancy school.  Here i learned to be fancy... if you didnt catch on. There is literally 2 pages of notes i was forced to take so i will not write all of them but here are some of my fancy tips:
-tape feather on the end of pencil.
-Tie thread over christmas ornaments to make glitzy earrings.
-Clip pretty butterflies in hair for a fluttery look.
-Always ask for sprinkles
-Pretend car is a limosene
-Eat with pinkies up
-call eachother "darling"

These things are good to know and to do in order to be fancy.  Im going to come back home a new woman... looking all cute and being all fancy. nobody will recognize me haha.. my jackets zipped only halfway.  But there there are the things she says that are just freaking hilarious.. they always leave me wondering... where in holy H did she learn that hahaha! or they're just funny.
My first day there her dad said something sarcastic at the table.  She politely wiped her mouth with her napkin and had a contemplative look on her face and says "Daddy, that is one of the things i dont like about you.  You are very insulting.  No, seriously!" hahahaha what?!

Then the girls were watching Sponge Bob while i was cooking.  On the show at the Krusty Krab the fish of Bikini Bottom were paying money to throw Krabby Patties at Squidward.  Bella turns to Sophia and says "Maybe we should open a business where we charge to throw hot dogs at Brenna." Don't you feel the love?!

But now just funny Bella quotes that I have written down quickly when she says them.  Everyone was gone one day so we were just hanging out. We built a tent and were going to watch a movie. As we are sitting in the tent setting up "camp" she gets out an air whistle and says "This should lift your spirits!"  ANd begins to play me a song. haha i thought it was hilarious. 32 seconds later we went to make popcorn in the kitchen on our way over she says "I have never told you this, but, i have the kind of camping spirit a good camper would have" :) Love her!! as we approach the cupboard and she opens it to get the popcorn the cheetos fall out and she states "That prankster is the worst prankster!" (referring to Sophia like Soph made them fall on purpose as a prank)  "Seriously, that prank sucked!" she turns to me and says like i am from another planet and barely speak english "Thats what we call a joke." OH but this isnt the end, after she got the popcorn and is unwrapping it she explains to me something vital "Do you know the popsecret, secret?  It's the button on the microwave that says popcorn.  All the microwaves know the popsecret secret as long as they have the button that says popcorn."

Now dont think i have picked favorites amongst the children.. this is not soo... Soph is just going thru some... changes in her life haha aka hormones that come with 5th graders. ANYWHO this is a game Bella made up... you will see what i mean with changes from one certain gal;... But Bella's game was funny i thought
hahaha I love these girls... I have more HILARIOUS videos of them singing to me... aka Bella singing and dancing for me.. it's kind of awkward just watching so i just record them cause it's hilarious haha... the songs they make up are like none others.. dont be surprised if you hear them on the radio haha
This is when she started making a face mask... i helped thinking she was going to do it to herself... nay. She made it for me.... Not to be a poor sport i went ahead with it... it consisted of egg whites and lemon juice... yeah... i my skin had a little party of its own after but she had a great time doing it.. she also gave me a massage cause i was at "the spa" and then made me a tropical drink of basically every juice that was in the fridge haha.

4TH OF JULY WITH DUBLIN!!

My BEST friend came ALL THE WAY to Connecticut to VISIT ME!!!
She came 4th of July weekend :)  we had probably the most fun to gallientes could have. Just hangin with girl Number 1 the most fun in the WORLD!  haha soo.... I pick her up and take her to probably my favorite place to eat in the small town of New Canaan, called Vicolo's pizzeria.
We chilled as gals do on the East coast..... then we partied it up IN NEW YORK CITY for the weekend!! WaHOOOOOO!  Actually NYC is cool for 1 MAYBE 2 days.  Word to the future NYC beginning traveller: wear as little clothing (while still be modest ;)  as possible because its BLOODY hot and always have a bottle of water cause the prices will rape you and wear the comfiest shoes you have, cute or not cute haha.  But other than that if you've got those you will LOVE it haha!!!
Poor Dublin.... I was the tour guide.  I am usually very good at directions and i got us around the city and subway sytem VERY well... until Sunday :( i appologize my blonde friend.  Yes, i must say I made the timeless mistake of holding the map UPSIDE DOWN!!! hahaha we ended up a little offcourse... not too far.. only 6 blocks :0 haha  in like 90 degree humid heat haha wearing sunday dress.... not COOL! my bad... but now we have the memories.. which is all we could ask for isn't it?!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah well... you live and you learn?! Sorry Kylee....

NYC we learned is the place for many different races, styles, and beliefes.  TO SAY THE LEAST it is definitely the MELTING POT of the world!... haha oh yeah and we also learned that New York is apparently called the capitol of the world... news to me! i thought America would be the capitol... if there was to be a capitol haha.
Who told us this???  ooh just Kobe Bryant and his friend at some little burger shop!  Story #1: Yes that's right Kobe Bryant. :) well... his twin brother at least cause this guy seriously looked JUST LIKE HIM!!! Alright, so story of the 2 tall african american men that play basketball on some international team apparently, whether or not that's true ha.... anywho!! so me and Kylee had been walking all day, we're pooped and just wanna sit down but the girl we were staying with wasn't at the apartment yet... so we waited and waited.. waited so long we were hungry so we decided to head over to the apartment in SOHO, NY just to be near... on the way we see a little burger place on the front window the R in burger fell off so it said BUGERS and FRIES! Charming. haha we stopped in sat in the fron window seat with a chair inbetween us and ate. The food was medeocre aka bad haha. I have red smeared all over the bottom half of my face cause we put red lipstick on and it looked not so good on me haha and wouldnt come off... and we were sweaty so we weren't that good looking..
WELL this Guy comes over and sits between kylee and i and says "you saving this for me?".... i monotonely say "Yep!" When i use the monotone voice you know without even having to know me that i am in my sarcastic mood and might offend you ha.... it's a problem.. so his friend sits down and we are all chit chatting and this friend says "i like the way your face is put together"............ uuuuum... I dont like compliments already and that was just a wierd one so I said "uuuuuuuuuuuuh ha... thanks, I'll let my parents know they did a good job." hahaha poor guy but he laughed and it was all in good fun. then they started telling us about how they wanted to take us to some bar named "The Fat Black Pussycat" WHAT!? hahahahaha naaa... then they insisted they walk us to our apartment and kept wondering what we were doing... WOULDNT LEAVE!! so they did end up following us to our friends apartment... aka CREEPY! but I got out of the situation with his number and he not knowing mine. Ahaha VICTORY!
Alright so one of the COOLEST things i found out about NYC is that some musical program put pianos all over for the public to play!! WOOPIE!! don't mind if DO!  There was one in Central park and another in Times Square... the one in Central park was a lot easier to play and remember the song because the stage fright factor wasn't as high haha all the benches of people were behind me... then at Times Square the freaking people were sat all around the piano aka... I FORGOT MY SONG hahaha... not a huge deal but i was slightly embarassed... had to get up and walk it off ha. That stupid song better not be forgotten i worked so hard on it to play for my final in college, for my beginner piano class haha maybe you've heard of it Bella's Lullaby, haha yep from Twilight..... yep LOSER i played Twilight.  I dont know how dirty those key were but hey, who cares?! NYC is already FREAKING dirty so theres no point in taking any extra precaution... or is there? haha i did not.
Quick Story #2.  I saved Dublin's life. Yep... she about got smacked and carried away by a MTA-North train.  Her guts would have been scraped all the way from Stamford, Connecticut to Grand Central, New York.  Gross... haha so we are taking pictures because it was her time riding a train and it's a fun experience and thus she was standing fairly close to the edge of the tracks platform.  haha so i am just daydreaming... taking a little mind trip if you will.  I hear the train is coming so i look down on my left where Kylee was and also the direction of the train... She is just lost in her world looking at either her phone or her camera, i cannot recall.... haha so the train is literally like 1 second from us and she is RIGHT on the edge of the platform.  I kind of yell kind of nervously KYLEE! and grab her arm and pull her backwards haha the train literally skimmed an inch from her as I got her... haha HELLO... that'll wake you up for dang sure!!! it was a wierd moment because right after it happened i went straight back to day dreaming haha.... i about lost my BFF on that day. NOT COOL!!! but Luckily she is still here by a narow escape. Glad to have ya Dub.  OKAY!! so now it is finally time for,
STORY #3:  All weekend i had been telling Dublin about Serendipity 3's famous Frozen Hot Chocolate... the one that is in the movie Serendipity.  I kept explaining how delectible this dessert is.  Nobody really understands until they partake. Well...... SHE PARTOOOOOK! and was DELIGHTED.  Seriously everybody. i will FIND this recipe and make it and so people of Utah who don't go to NYC will be able to devour this delicious treat (i dont know if you noticed but everytime i need a work to describe the Frozen Hot Chocolate i use a work that starts with D.)  hahaha that picture reminds of another side story... so we found Urban Outfitters aka my favorite store. ... i love headbands... i found a headband that i absolutely love.. and am wearing it in the picture... it is black with green leaves on it... perfect for me.  i wore it a lot over the weekend... haha while we are sitting at the fireworks we are taking pictures and i realize that the headbands looks IDENTICAL to a marijuana plant.  Not that i know what that looks like but the little picture all the druggies sport on their whatnots like cars ans binders and such haha you know what i'm talking bout? here i will show you with another picture:
HAHAHA does it not look like a marijuana plant?!!! because I think it does. will it stop me from wearing it. Not in the slightest. aaaah well, it happens haha. anywho, the 4th was pretty awesome! they shot fireworks off from 6 piers on the Hudson River by the Statue of Liberty.  The fireworks were HUGE!!!!! nothing really to talk about with fireworks haha basically everyone has seen what they look like... But NYC was a really cool place to experience them in... funny tho... we sat out in the 90+ degree humid heat for 4 hours for seats we could have got had we come an hour early haha... i get a little delirious in the heat (and super sweaty):
The best thing to do is just to NOT ask questions haha... but i also drew some tats for me and DUB her's is the odd design and mine is the owl, PEACE AND LOVE:
Yeah, it was along 4 hours... haha every night from like 12-2a.m. waiting to get into the apartment because we couldnt without the girl who lived there... thus we hung out around the corner at McDonalds where i ended up taking a 45 minute nap haha i had a fun trip...

Well, having Dublin was the GREATEST!!! wish she was still here but it's whatever. I come home in 35 days!!! WHOOP then move back to G in 37 days. Can i get a WHOO WHOO!?  THEN MY BIRTHDAY IS THE 19th OF AUGUST... if you wanna get technical it is in 38 days.... haha i have it all counted up in my planner so when each day passes i know how long til those 3 dates.  don't get me wrong I LOVE it here... but you know it will be great to come back home and be a teenager rather than a 2nd mother haha... i can act irresponsible :) WAHOOO!  I now realize that i say Wahoo, WOOO, and Whoop a lot!  AIGHT here are some random pictures i dont wanna write a whole story about :D

HERSHEY STORE in TIMES SQUARE!!!! YUM!! They had a Reese's corner... THAT's ME!!!

Gotta LOVE the Subway System of NYC.

Some people call me crazy...

Well, Life, we have known eachother another year.  And what a year it has been.  One year ago I was in Cancun, Mexico on senior trip with my bff's (minus Kylee)  Jenni Jensen, Taylor Howell, and Amber Williamson.

Cancun was most likely the FUNNEST trip i have ever taken! oh the memories, we just kept Jai Ho'in and left there with no regrets.  I can't count on one hand how many times people thought we were drunk when we hadn't had a drop.  The time when Amber slipped at the top of the waterslide then had to wear a bandaid on her back getting a tanline from it.  Then Taylor limboing and after you limbo they give you a drink of tequila (mexican water) then she just said "i've already  had too much!" haha.  Then Jenni getting up and asking the performers at Xel-Ha if she could play their steel drums (we were literally the only people sitting by them and dancing to their music).  Then the great beach party where i spent most of the time with Nick Fichtner, he was wasted, but only leaving his wobbly side to get on the mini stage to do the Cotton Eye'd Joe, where i rolled my ankle on the clap-jump causing myself and 2 drunk girls to fall over.  But then the people thought i was the drunk one. haha... but the best memory was going down the waterslide at Senor Frogs, where they didn't tell us it only led to an opening and 10' drop into a 4.5' deep salt watery bay, 2.5' of it was pure mossy seaweed.. then to get out we had to climb a disgustingwooden stair ladder that had moss all over it.
Our last day, Michael Jackson died.
That summer was a pretty mellow summer, me and Kylee spent most of our time longboarding and living the dream.  Nothing too big or exciting.  We talked a lot about how we would spend the next year in St. George.  CRAZY!!! I never thought that day would come, now look... what was supposed to be only a year has now turned into 2, which begins in August.  I wouldn't live with anyone besides my best friend Kylee because we had the BEST year.  So many things have happened, it was definitely a year of growing up.
But not too much growing up because that's not very fun.  Never too old to have a girls night including: pizza, putting on crazy makeup and outfits, going out and doorbell ditching friends and crushes (only to find out later that you doorbell ditched your crushes neighbor), not being able to find your crushes house thus, stopping at maverick face makeup and all to ask where that address is.  Mamma Mia!! then building forts and watching School of Rock.  Only to be woken up at 3 a.m. by your friends (whom we doorbell ditched) lighting firecrackers on our front porch.  I seriously thought it was gunshot, I have never been so scared in all my life.
Yep, St. George has definitely known the best times of my life.  I LOVE Cache Valley, that is my home, but St. George definitely has a special place in my heart.  I have made more REALLY GOOD friends in my year there than in all my life! I would name all the them but i am afaid i will forget a name, but it's not like anyone is reading this besides Kylee so i dont think it would effect them if i forgot their name haha they would never know.
But, anyways we've met alot of GREAT people!  Even if the introduction was nothing less than creepy. Aka, being followed after the Allred concert then being asked by a group of complete stranger boys "What are you guys doing tonight?"  hahaha but they ended up being the COOLEST boys ever, only downfall is they are from up north aka my hometown haha.  They are our North Boys and we are their St. G girls.
Then there was work, Kylee worked at Pizza Factory Express on Sunset :) haha and i worked at Krave Frozen Yogurt.  We both became very good friends with the others work family.  Nothing like weighing yogurts, washing spoons, cutting fruit and candy, and being with friends  haha.

Then the boy life. Oh Geeze.  St. George has the wierdest males in all the world. hahah  for some reason they all have girlfriends but just keep that quiet for a while. haha... so much to say about this area, but yet no words.  Just WOW!  St. George held my first kiss and also turned around to be my first real bummer haha.  It definitely sucked, and the horrible thing was I saw the gf everywhere.  But you know what it's all good :)  Everything happens for a reason.  But, just like in everyones life there have been good times and hard times, in the end me and Kylee were always there for each other and all that crap was just crap, shovel it into the barrell and dump it somewhere else.  If you leave it there all it's gunna do is rot and stink up the place which now doesn't just effect you but everyone else around you. No reason to linger.  Not a big deal.  I have had a talking to Kylee's boo and she's had a talk with mine.  We've got eachother's back. And right while that crap was happening I turned my focus to something else :)
I found that hiking is a great way to divert the mind from all that crap tho haha... I LOVE HIKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a GREAT way to Get in touch with your inner-indian.
I also got my life saved, not in a figuratively way, because of my new found passion.  I went with some friends up to hike the Red Moutain, which was SOO much fun, but as i told one of my other friends Sidney Harrison (who also almost died there) she said "Don't do it, you will die!" haha on the way down I somehow found myself on the edge of a cliff holding onto a wall made of sandstone, aka very breakable.  As i was hanging on i found that my handhold wasn't attached to the moutain, thus a boulder was coming loose about to fall on me and my foot holes were giving.  This is especially scary when your scared of heights.  While i'm standing there afraid to move my hero, Andy Smith, came over and in about 30 seconds grabbed my wrist and kind of helped pull/throw me off to the side.  The amazing part is he stood on, the edge while doing this without holding onto anything.  All he did was dig his toes into the sandy cliff.  He is amazing! haha.

Year, look at where you have sent me now, Connecticut - the COMPLETE other end of the country!! WHAT!!?? i never thought i would end up here or ever end up anywhere but Utah my whole life.  But i'm glad i came, it has definitely been another growing situation and i have learned that nannying is the BEST birth control. well, it doesnt actually stop that whole cycle from occuring but it definitely will make you not want kids for a long time... a VERY long time.  for the first 6 weeks I was basically the community babysitter. I babysat Tae, Julia, Sarah (1,6, and 9) and Christian, 3.  All of these kids are awesome and i love them!  Now i am a live-in nanny for the Martino's with Gabriela, 6, and Sophia, 9.  they are a handful indeed.  But the things they say are priceless.
I love this family and they are so good to me.  The girls are adorable, but very sassy at times.  It's wierd to think i have already been here 6 weeks and I only have 6 weeks left! Then i will be back home for 2 days and in St. George on August 18th aka the day before my birthday. Crazy talk. Basically every weekend = a trip to New York City.  It is cool and all but again, i am a West coast girl... this place is too big for me haha.  But it's cool to see.  I like the little town of New Canaan, CT, sometimes i feel a little clostrophobic (spelled wrong) because literally there are walls of  trees all around me.  But it's beautiful, i can't deny that!  Nanny is pretty great too, it has it's downfalls tho, like when you have to get angry at the little kids because they are fighting.  then they think i'm the bad guy when really i know someone is going to end up getting hurt so i'm trying to prevent that.  makes me definitely respect my parents a little more, heaven knows we were not easy haha.  I love it, i love the experience i am getting, but i am ready to go back to Utah.  Well, if you know me, you know that where ever i am, Kylee will either soon be there, has just left and i'm about to leave to where ever she is, or she is in the other room.  so, i would like to have my:
 Ode de Kylee.
(dont be mad at the picture, it's funny)
K. K-dub. Dublin. Webby. Freddy. Dub. K-money. Webbster.  Ky. Ky-cinderella. BFF Forever. Beautiful. Blonde. Red Head. Brown Eyebrows. Separated Eyelashes. Wierd Toe. No Straws, i hate straws. Can i have a little bit of that? Ay O B, What up K? Are you laughing, i can't hear it?  Makes wierd sounds while eating cereal. Ex-cheerleader. You are mean to me, ALWAYS. Asian?!! WHERE? Carrie Underwood is my idol.  That is definitely a Brenna (song, outfit, food, etc...)  Sappy music lover. How will i cover this hicky!? don't fret dub, i will just put a puppy tattoo over it.
Spring Break trip to Vegas on Saturday... and Monday, because we didn't get all the things we wanted.  Losing a shoe on Dixie Rock during our 2 hour Dance Party. Random Walmart trips for Nerd Glasses.  Lets eat out, We deserve it!  DOUG! Oways.  Cheveron worker.  Pizza Factory Express on Sunset, this is Kylee. I want Cheese and Pepperoni, the pizza has cheese on it do you want extra? ARE YOU STUPID I JUST WANT CHEESE AND PEPPERONI. These are just a few of the things that make Kylee, Kylee.  But that is why we love her.  May the next year be as great as the last 8. Cheers ma lady.

Bare with me

So this is my first post on a blog (woohoo) really i am just writing this to see where it goes and how this whole thing works... uuuuh... what am i doing? I am in my room in Connecticut where i am living/nannying for the summer!  It is freaking awesome here but i am definitely a West Coast girl.  I CANNOT wait to move back to St. George on the 18th of august and celebrate my 19th birthday with all my friends down there. Also, I am really excited to be starting a 3rd semester adventure with my roommate/best friend Kylee Webb!! WOOHOO this will be the best semester EVER! Kylee is actually coming to visit me on Wednesday all the way in CONNECTICUT!!! love that girl! she's coming down for 4th of July weekend and we are going to ride the train down to NYC to watch the fireworks over the Hudson River/Statue of Liberty! it should be good times indeed!
